Somatic Trauma Therapist
My first career, as a Midwife, began over 20 years ago when I was inspired by the birth of my first son. Hundreds of times since, I've witnessed the incredible miracle of life and the resilience of the human spirit.
Through my years as a midwife, I was also able to bear witness to something I never expected—the impact that unhealed stress and trauma can have on the mind, body, and spirit. I began to notice how unprocessed trauma lives in the body, shaping how we move, feel, and relate to the world around us. This recognition marked a turning point in my life’s path, leading me into the study of trauma, embodiment, and healing.
As I began to shift away from midwifery and lean more fully into my somatic work, my husband and I founded an outdoor nature school on our organic farm and forest land. Over the years, I witnessed nature’s wisdom support nervous system regulation and healing in children of all ages and temperaments. Time in nature supported them in understanding and building boundaries, deepened curiosity and empathy, and cultivated self-awareness.
Spending each day outside with them and tending to the farm, I realized my own body had come into a deeper sense of ease and reflection. This showed me that our bodies, like the earth, carry a deep capacity for healing—if we are willing to slow down, tune in, and truly listen. This is what brought my somatic trauma healing practice into connection with nature: nature as a co-healer.
My work is now fully rooted in somatic stress and trauma healing, including Somatic Experiencing, ecotherapy, somatic bodywork, expressive arts, and sandplay. My learning is ongoing and alive, and at the heart of all I offer is a deep respect for the body’s innate intelligence and its capacity to heal when given safety, time, and attentive presence.
Today, my practice lives alongside a sanctuary rooted in nature—where sessions may unfold indoors in a cozy cabin or outside on the farm or in the forest. It depends on what the body calls for.
If you're curious if this practice could support healing for you or someone you love, feel free to call or text for a 15 minute consult or schedule an appointment.

welcome
Welcome to Rooted in Love.
This somatic therapy practice is nestled in the heart of nature and shaped by attuned presence, relationship, and deep listening to the body.
I work with children, teens, and adults who are living with stress, trauma, anxiety, chronic tension, or who find themselves at tender points of change. This work can be especially supportive for those who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or who have not found relief through more traditional approaches.
Together, we listen for what is asking for attention, allowing safety, regulation, and resilience to grow over time.
Healing here is not about fixing or forcing change. It is about building trust with the body and nervous system, honoring their timing, and creating the conditions for something new to take root.
